a step forward to strengthening cooperation on Cross-Border Motor Insurance and realization of Protocol.

Road Accident Victims Protection Company Limited as Thailand National Bureau of Insurance signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) “Cooperation on Cross-Border Motor Vehicle Insurance Underwriting and Claim Settlement Services” with National Bureau of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to implementation Protocol 5 ASEAN Scheme of Compulsory Motor Vehicle Insurance of ASEAN Framework Agreement on the Facilitation of Goods in Transit: AFAFGIT. With objectives to provide cross border motor insurance protection to the people and cross border vehicles of both countries and provide claims services when accident occurs. The MOU signing was witnessed by the Secretary of Myanmar Insurance Business Regulatory Board (IBRB) and delegation from the Office of Insurance Commission of Thailand at Myanma Insurance Headquarters, Yangon, Republic of the Union of Myanmar on 12 March 2019.
