and COB-TFWG Joint Consultative Meeting

Thailand National Bureau of Insurance by Mr. Nopadol Santipakorn, Managing Director of Road Accident Victims Protection Company Limited, as Vice Chairman of ASEAN Council of Bureaux and Head of Council of Bureaux Working Group attended the 6th Council of Bureaux Working Group Meeting and the COB-TFWG Joint Consultative Meeting which was organized by the National Bureau of Insurance of Brunei Darussalam (Brunei Insurance Takaful Association (BITA)) together with the ASEAN Secretariat and support from the ASEAN Insurance Council (AIC). The meeting was attended by representatives from National Bureau of Insurance of all 10 ASEAN Member States, representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat, and ASEAN Insurance Council. This meeting was the first time that the Council of Bureaux (COB) held a Joint Consultative Meeting with the ASEAN Transport Facilitation Working Group - TFWG which consists of government agencies from the Ministry of Transport of all 10 member countries to report progress of the implementation of Protocol 5 and to coordinate cooperation between the government and the ASEAN insurance sector in joint action to achieve the objectives under the ASEAN Framework Agreement especially on scheme of compulsory motor insurance. The meeting was held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.
